Christmas for Kids

CFK Logo - light background.png

The Christmas for Kids Program works to create an atmosphere of joy for the children served and their parents or guardians. By signing up for CFK parents are ensured they have Christmas toys, a coat, clothes and activity books for their aged newborn to 15 year old children.

Our big push starts in October with participation in local fairs and parades.  November brings another push for Black Friday shopping for CSAF donations and we have change collection boxes and toy donation drop off boxes out at local businesses. The first Saturday in December is our big Toy Drive at Walmart, one of our sponsors.  We usually have all the fire departments' there rotating their fire trucks from our County, along with Atrium Health Floyd EMS and WEIS Radio there to help us promote the toy drive.

In 2020 we provided Christmas Bags to 205 children, in 2021 to 114 children and in 2022 to 219 children. In 2018 as "Christmas for Kids" we provided to 145 and in 2019, 185 children.

We accept donations of new, unopened toys, clothes, activity kits and bikes throughout the year, as well as cash and Walmart gift cards.
